Most seem to think his First Church of Christ, Scientist, build around 1912 in Berkeley, is his masterpiece. He wasn't a Christian Scientist, but he built this new and fervent faith a building that seems to confront many with the eternal, and with humility and simplicity.

His last great project was Principia College, also for the Christian Scientists.

Never built was his 9th Church of Christ Scientist, meant for San Francisco. The depression was on, World War II was coming.
