Floras Lake

Note: these sites have sold out. For nearby (but much larger and more expensive) properties that are still avialable there is Ferguson Ranch

Floras Lake is one dune back from the Pacific, surrounded by forests and farms. It has a weird history. ( Something about how at the turn of the century someone thought it would make a great port if a channel was dug through the dune. He platted a town, sold lots and built a hotel before noticing that the lake was higher than the ocean.)

It, along with the beach at Pistol River near Brookings, has recently become famous internationally for great windsurfing.

The town of Bandon is just north. Bandon has probably the greatest concentration of gourmet restaurants on the coast. A Scottish style championship golf course has just been built along the beach there. Twenty minute further north is Coos Bay, the coasts largest city. There is scheduled air service from Coos Bay, with several flights each day.

Floras Lake B&B

We have five inexpensive wooded lots one block from the lake. Each would be great for a summer cabin- or just an inexpensive home in a beautiful area. $30,000 ea. The westerly most should have a good view of the lake.
