On the map, the Chetco watershed is darker and is outlined in green. It is in the southwestern-most corner of Oregon.

Most of the watershed is within the Siskiyou National Forest. More that a third is within the Kalmiopsis Wilderness Area. The wilderness area is the lighter area on the map.

The eastern boundary of the watershed is also the eastern boundary of Curry County.
